Hi, my name is Colleen Little and I am the art teacher here at Moorooka State School.
In Art this year, students will be exploring creativity through a wide range of materials and techniques. We will experiment with drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and mixed media, encouraging students to express their ideas and tell their own stories through art.
Students across the school will have opportunities to work both independently and collaboratively, developing their skills while learning about different artists, styles, and cultural art practices. We will focus on building creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Throughout the year, students will create artworks to display around the school and as part of special events and celebrations.
I warmly welcome families to be involved in our art program whenever possible — whether that's volunteering in the classroom or simply enjoying the wonderful artwork your child brings home. I look forward to a creative and colourful year together!
