Volunteers are a valuable resource in schools and assist staff in a range of areas including reading intervention, sight words recognition, library borrowing and gardening. At MSS we believe that all of our school volunteers provide significant support to our students, contributing to their overall educational achievement.
In order to be a volunteer at Moorooka SS, you will need to have a Working with Children (Blue Card), unless you are a parent of a student at the school. We will need to see your Blue Card before you start volunteering and it needs to be worn at all times on school site.

Volunteers will need to read our Volunteers Handbook and will need to sign a induction form, to say you have read the above policies and documents and understand your responsibilities while volunteering at MSS.
You will also need to review the Mandatory All-Staff Training Guide and complete the declaration page, this will need to be handed into the office with your signed induction form.
